One Word 365: Health-Week 1

My One Word 365 for 2012 is Health. To help me stay focused on taking better care of body, mind, and spirit, I am completing a daily health-themed photo project. Please enjoy these photos from Week 1!

I kicked off Week 1 by writing a "mini health goal" for each day of the week. I plan to make this part of my weekly routine to keep me on track with small and manageable goals for each day.

Water! Adequate hydration is the cornerstone of a healthy body.

Busy days at work often mean poor eating choices on the run. I planned ahead by packing lots of fresh fruits and veggies to snack on throughout the day.

Reading that nurtures the heart and soul.

Thanks to its many health benefits, coconut oil is our cooking oil of choice.
Check out Hybrid Rasta Mama's 160 Uses for Coconut Oil to learn more about this amazing oil!

Despite my commitment to health, I fell prey to a bug that's been going around. My attempts at rest and relaxation to help recuperate were a bit thwarted by a 2 year old who doesn't quite grasp why anyone would want to lay around and watch a boring screen!

Tea! 'Nuff said. ;)

Have a healthy and happy week!
