Poppy Soap Co.

Poppy Soap Co. is a mother-owned, eco-conscious company making specialty handmade organic soaps for every skin type. Face and Body soaps are made in small batches using high-quality, certified organic ingredients and therapeutic essential oils. They contain no sulfates or detergents, no synthetic ingredients, no artificial fragrances or dyes, no petroleum, no pthalates, no GMOs, and no animal products. Poppy Soap Co. suggests the best soaps for you based on your unique skin type, and each bar contains unique, beautiful details that set it apart from the rest.

I have noticed that these days, high quality organic soaps are a dime a dozen, but there is something special about Poppy Soap Co. that caught my eye. With the Bar for Bar program, for every bar of soap you purchase, a bar is donated to your local women's shelter. Poppy Soap Company helps you give back to your community while you pamper and nourish your skin. You can nominate your local shelter without even making a purchase! In the spirit of the holidays, you can help Poppy Soap Co. support women's shelters by participating in the Letters of Light campaign, kicking off November 1st!

About Mix & Match Organic Soap Set

For this review, I received a Mix & Match Organic Soap Set to try. The three soaps I selected for my set were Lavender Lemongrass "Calm" Face & Body soap, Orange Patchouli Walnut "Exfoliate" Body soap, and Rosewood "Nurture" Face & Body soap.

When my package first arrived, I was immediately drawn in by the medley of scents drifting from it. The soaps are somehow scented in such a way that they are intoxicating without being overpowering. The attractive burlap packaging with a decorative ribbon this gift set arrives in is perfect for gift-giving, no additional wrapping required, and I love packaging that can be reused. I was impressed to find that there was no plastic packaging what-so-ever! Each beautifully detailed bar of soap came in its own reusable bag along with a card listing its ingredients.

With how beautiful these bars looked and smelled, I simultaneously wanted to save them forever and wanted to use each one immediately. The first bar I tried was the Orange Patchouli Walnut "Exfoliate" Body Bar. This bar gently exfoliated my skin and left it feeling smooth and soft. I have a mild case of Keratosis Pilaris on my upper arms, and the appearance was noticeably reduced after just one use of this exfoliating soap. Several hours after my shower, I was pleasantly surprised to notice the orange patchouli fragrance still gently scenting my bathroom!

The second bar I tried was the Rosewood "Nurture" Bar, a perfect choice for every day use. I was nervous to try bar soap on my face, but this bar was so gentle and moisturizing that I didn't even feel like I needed to use moisturizer after washing with it. The Lavender Lemongrass "Calm" Bar has become my evening bath time favorite. The calming scent of this moisturizing bar truly helps me relax and unwind after a long day.

The quality of Poppy Soap Company's soap bars is top of the line. From the aesthetic beauty of each bar; to the heavenly scents; to the cleansing, moisturizing, and nurturing properties; they simply cannot be beat. After years of using natural and organic soaps (and having hard water), I have come to not expect much in terms of lather. I found each of Poppy Soap Company's bars to have an impressive amount of clean-rinsing lather. Between the soaps themselves and the company's commitment to sustainability, carbon-neutral practices, and advocacy for women, I can't find a single drawback to Poppy Soap Company or their products.
